Did you know that you can visit Santa’s Village in Southern California? Just 75 miles from Disneyland in the San Bernardino Mountains, you can enjoy the spirit of Christmas year round! Santa’s Village is unique and charming and can be enjoyed by all ages.
What is Santa’s Village?
Santa’s Village is a charming little theme park located near Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino Mountains. It originally opened just 6 weeks before Disneyland in 1955. While it had to close for several years due to bankruptcy and fires, Santa’s Village has been rebuilt and expanded and is thriving today. The original charm and nostalgia have been preserved, and year-round activities have been added—making SkyPark at Santa’s Village a fun and unique destination all year long.
Activities
There is so much to do at this charming little theme park, you’ll definitely want to spend most of the day there. We went in late March, and had plenty to do all day long.
From these super cute pedal cars and train ride to ice skating and rock climbing, you definitely won’t be bored!
You can also decorate cookies and make crafts with Santa’s helpers.
Try your skills at archery, axe throwing, shooting, hiking, zip lining, and a huge bike park complete with trails for all levels. You can even take lessons!
And don’t forget mining for gold!
I loved the charming buildings and of course no visit is complete without visiting Santa’s house!
Entertainment
Santa’s Village offers plenty of entertainment for the whole family including puppet shows, a magician, storytelling, parades, and even fun concerts.
Dining
You won’t go hungry at Santa’s Village. They specialize in hand-crafted burgers, delicious sandwiches, ice cream, craft brews and traditional pub food, signature coffees and cocoas, tasty BBQ, and don’t forget the sweet shoppe! All can be enjoyed on the cute patio—complete with fire pits.
Shopping
You won’t want to leave without a fun souvenir. Pick one up at the gift shop, where you’ll find unique gifts and Christmas souvenirs. You can even get signature coffees and cocoas to bring home. Plus, get everything you need for the trails at their on-site bike shop.
We had such a fun time visiting Santa’s Village. It’s such a charming and unique place with a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. It’s totally worth the drive up to the San Bernardino mountains!
Looks like it’s great for kids and SO much fun. You would find me around the fire pit. ha
So much fun! I’ll have to check this out next time I’m in California. It’s always time for Christmas!
